The private search to develop a successor relationship spanned five years of Aurora’s twenty five year business life and culminated in the introduction to Tom Manning, Putnam Investment Management’s CEO. That introduction has resulted in Aurora’s complete movement into the Putnam group as a wholly owned entity.
From 1981 through 1984, he was a registered representative with the Minneapolis-based firm of Investors Diversified Services Inc., now known as Ameriprise Inc. Day Inc. During the term at Tucker Anthony, he completed the arduous, multi-year process of achieving the Certified Financial Planner designation. A move to Advest Inc. After a three-year stint as a co-principal of Portland’s Investment Management and Consulting Group, LLC. (IMCG), to better handle his unique and specialized financial-services practice, Charlie founded the Aurora Financial Group, L.L.C.
