Mark is a Principal and Wealth Strategist in our New York City Office. He works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and their advisory teams to coordinate lifetime gifting and estate planning strategies to achieve their dispositive intent in the most tax-efficient manner possible. With more than two decades of experience, Mark takes a holistic approach to multi-generational wealth planning, helping clients align their financial objectives with their personal values and long-term legacy goals. Mark also works closely with his clients’ family members, and collaborates with their attorneys, accountants, and other trusted advisors to ensure an integrated, comprehensive approach to their estate plans.
Prior to joining FLP in 2025, Mark was a Senior Managing Director at KLS Professional Advisors Group, a Division of Silicon Valley Bank (formerly Boston Private Financial Holdings), a $7 Billion registered investment advisor, from 2001 to 2024. Mark was the Head of the KLS Trust & Estate planning practice from 2010 to 2021, offering comprehensive estate planning advice to law firm partners, executives, and wealthy families.
Before joining KLS in 2001, Mark worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a Senior Tax Advisor in the Financial Industry Service Group where he advised banks and investment partnerships on tax matters. Mark began his career as a Tax Associate in the Multinational Corporate Tax Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Mark graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Accounting from SUNY Albany in 1991 and received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law in 1994. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of New York since 1995.
Mark is a member of the Estate Planning Counsel of Long Island. He serves as a guest lecturer and Board member of the Berkeley College Financial Services Advisory Board.
