F.L.Putnam Expands Midwest Presence with $1 Billion Wisconsin Team
Transaction adds new equity investment strategy, capabilities, and a six-member team in Milwaukee

LYNNFIELD, Mass., September 2, 2026 – F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company (FLP) today announced its expansion into Wisconsin with the acquisition of the Red Granite team from an affiliate of 1251 Capital Group. The transaction expands FLP’s proprietary equity investment platform and further adds to its Midwest presence. The Red Granite team will continue working from their office in downtown Milwaukee.
Red Granite is led by Co-Chief Investment Officers Joel D. Vrabel, CFA, and David J. Drzadinski, CFA, CPA, who have managed a large-cap growth equity strategy together since 1996. The team oversees more than $1 billion in assets for private clients as of August 31, 2026.
“At FLP, we have built a firm where talented advisory and investment teams can expand their capabilities, access the resources of a larger organization, and continue to deliver highly personalized advice to their clients,” said Tom Manning, CEO of FLP. “The addition of Joel, David, and their team establishes our first presence in Wisconsin and our second location in the Midwest, while adding a differentiated large-cap equity strategy to our investment platform. We are excited to welcome the entire Red Granite team to FLP and look forward to supporting their continued growth.”
The Red Granite large-cap growth equity strategy is managed by a six-person team that employs a fundamental, bottom-up approach designed to identify the most attractive, high-quality portfolio investments. The goal of the strategy is to outperform the Russell 1000 Growth Index over a market cycle while maintaining lower risk and volatility. The team seeks to own companies with strong competitive positions and notable, sustainable business models for growth.
“Tom and his team have built a premier investment platform with tremendous depth and expertise that will allow us to build on what we have created over the past 30 years and deliver even more value to our clients,” commented Mr. Vrabel.
Mr. Drzadinski added, “Joining FLP gives us the opportunity to bring our large-cap equity strategy to a broader platform while continuing to focus on the work and client relationships that have driven our success for the past three decades.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
