“Companies don’t like to report bad news. By the time they start reporting issues we know they have already stretched a bit to meet their numbers. Eventually the companies realize they can’t make these numbers up. Therefore, we may see more earnings misses.”
“We expect inflation will peak in the second quarter but it may not be as quick as Fed Chairman Powell hopes. It is a very fine needle that the Fed is trying to thread.”
“The stocks that have held up this year are beginning to weaken and that’s telling you something under the surface.”
